GBC
prepares students for state certification as secondary
school teachers. The Director of Admissions and Registrar is the
official GBC representative who certifies that students have
completed the Teacher Education Program requirements at
GBC.

| TESL |
Teaching English as a Second Language. This endorsement is attached to the initial license, either elementary or secondary. It is not a K-12 endorsement. The TESL endorsement adheres to the standards of Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).

| Special Education |
This endorsement will provide the coursework needed to be certified in the State of Nevada as a generalist special education teacher for students with mild and moderate disabilities. The Special Education endorsement adheres to the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) Knowledge and Skill Base for All Beginning Special Education Teachers. The Student Teaching Internship for Special Education can be combined with the Elementary Internship or the Secondary Internship and can be completed in one semester.
