The post-baccalaureate teacher certification program at GBC enables students who have completed an undergraduate degree in a field other than secondary education to become eligible for licensure to teach in Nevada. GBC currently offers programs in mathematics, science, social science, English, career and technical education, and business education.
In order to apply to the program, a student must have already completed a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution.
The GBC Teacher
Education Handbook (PDF*) includes program admission requirements and
application forms. It also includes rules by which each student must abide
once admitted to the program. To complete the program as efficiently as
possible, it is imperative that students seek advising from education department
personnel upon acceptance into the program.
