| Mar. 17: | Shoesole Management Group This is a Holistic Resource Management Group that has many interest groups that work together for planning on these ranches and the public lands they run on. The next team meetings will be on March 17th at the Elko BLM Field Office. The Boies Team will meet from 9 am - noon and the Cottonwood Team from 1 pm - 4 pm. They will discuss plans for the 2010 grazing season. This is an excellent opportunity to watch rangeland management planning in action. |
| Mar. 24: | Native Fish Translocation Learn to identify native and invasive fish, and translocate them to new locations. This event takes place at the Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge. See the link for more information. |
| Apr. 16-17: | Western National Rangeland Career Development Event This contest and career workshop help prepare students for careers in range management. GBC will be attending the career fair during the morning of April 17th. The event is in Twin Falls, ID. For more information, click on the link below. |

| 5th Annual Agriculture Support Dinner This annual fundraiser for the GBC Aggies Club is being held April 30, 2010. We have an excellent speaker coming to inspire us, Mr. Troy Hadrick of Advocates for Agriculture. See his link below for more information on his message. | May 24-27: | NRES 330 Rangeland Plant ID Course May 24-27th, 2010: Rangeland Plant ID Course. Great Basin College will be offering NRES 330 Rangeland Plant ID as an upper division course during the upcoming Spring Session. Class runs from 8:00 - 5:00pm each day, meeting in Lund 129. Students will be traveling to various field sites. If you have questions about the class, instructor Mary Winter can be reached at mwinter215@yahoo.com |
