The ASC is happy to send a qualified tutor to your class to teach a tailor-made writing workshop based on your specific need. Topics that may be taught include:
- Writing essays, essay exams, research papers, or arguments.
- Concept mapping and brainstorming.
- Analyzing papers for patterns of error in mechanics and grammar.
- Developing thesis sentences, integrating quoted material, paraphrasing.
- Using MLA or APA documentation style.

| The design and purpose of the workshop can be determined in collaboration between the faculty member and the ASC Director. In addition, we offer workshops to groups of faculty or individuals about how to write effective assignments, respond to student writing, and assess student performance.
Workshops may be scheduled for this semester or next. We appreciate requests made with two weeks advance notice.
