One Act Festival Runs May 3rd-7th at the Great Basin College Theatre

ETC Meeting graphic. The Elko Theatre Coalition invites you to an evening of performance art
like you've never seen before!

Silver Stage Players, Great Basin College Theatre Program, and Ghost Light Productions have joined forces to form the Elko Theatre Coalition (ETC). The purpose of the ETC is to pool our performance art resources to bring our community together on cooperative theatre projects.

As our first official project of the ETC, we're excited to invite you to the first annual One Act Festival! Join first time, as well as, seasoned directors and actors for an evening of community theatre at its best. With a wide array of topics, you can expect a night of great variety.

The One Act Festival runs May 3rd-7th at the Great Basin College Theatre. The show starts at 7:30 pm each night, and admission is $5 dollars at the door.

You can enjoy five short plays, four of which are original plays written by Great Basin College Students. The plays are:

  • Silence Your Cell Phone, by Andrew Dolberg
  • I Did it for Love, by Ben Jensen
  • The Brain, by Thomas Stafford
  • Pregnancy Test, by Andrew Dolberg
  • Am I Blue, by Beth Henley

There will also be a couple of evenings with additional short plays performed by THTR 105 acting students as their final project.

Most of the plays are about ten minutes long.

Help us celebrate this wonderful coming together of Elko community theatre. We hope that this is the first of many annual events for the Coalition.

Please contact the Elko Theatre Coalition at with any questions.
