| I moved to Nevada from southern California in 1979 and have lived in Elko for nearly 30 years. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1989 where I began my Information Technology career and continued my theater career. I started working on IBM AS400's learning FORTRAN, and using Apple II's learning Apple BASIC. I worked for Newmont Mining Corporation for nearly 20 years before joining the GBC family. I have performed many IT duties including programmer, systems analyst, business analyst, systems administrator, help desk analyst, video conferencing support, digital signage designer, facilities manager, cellular fleet manager, process improvement analyst, IT solutions analyst, SharePoint Administrator, IT customer service manager, IT ticket analyst, among other duties. In a theater career spanning over 30 years, I have performed with many fine arts groups including EHS, NCT, NRC, PLT, SSP, GBC, CCE, Area 52 Productions, the Ruby Mountain Symphony among others. I pursued a performance track in school but am well versed in directing and many technical theater disciplines. I strive to maintain a strong voice in my community by donating time and resources to a broad scope of public service organizations. In addition to numerous United Way affiliated organizations, schools and senior citizen groups, I have been a member of the US Junior Chamber of Commerce while holding many leadership positions, receiving recognition and competitive awards at the local, state, and national levels. As a long time board member of Elko's community theater company, I have been intimately involved in efforts to further the arts and public service to all of northern Nevada. I also served as the Vice-chairman of the Arts and Cultural Advisory Board to the Elko City Council. I take pride in my efforts to be an integral, creative, artistic, intellectual, spiritual, likable and reliable member of the community I call home!
