The Nevada Board of Regents has begun the search for a new president of Great Basin College. GBC, an innovator in distance education technologies, provides higher education to nearly all of rural Nevada (62,000 square miles). GBC's main campus is located in Elko, Nevada, with centers located in Pahrump, Winnemucca, Ely, and Battle Mountain, Nevada.
Presidential searches in the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) are conducted by two committees: a Regents' Search Committee and an Institutional Advisory Committee. Agendas for meetings of the Regents' Search Committee are posted on the Board of Regents' website.
