Great Basin College enriches people's lives by providing student-centered, post-secondary education to rural Nevada. Educational, cultural, and related economic needs of the multicounty service area are met through programs of university transfer, applied science and technology, business and industry partnerships, developmental education, community service, and student support services in conjunction with certificates and associate and select baccalaureate degrees.
GBC is a comprehensive community college that provides educational opportunities to over 3,800 students across 86,500 square miles, in ten of Nevada's largest counties bordering five states. The main campus in Elko is home to an educational community that attracts students interested in a residential college experience. Satellite facilities are located in over a dozen communities across the college's service area.

Founded in 1914 as the American Institute of Graphic Arts, AIGA is now known simply as “AIGA, the professional association for design.” As the profession’s oldest and largest professional membership organization for design—with 70 chapters and more than 25,000 members—AIGA advances design as a professional craft, strategic advantage, and vital cultural force.
