Catalog Description: A beginning course for those with no previous word processing knowledge and an introduction to Microsoft Word.
Course Description: This is a beginning course for those students with no previous word processing knowledge. The program used is Microsoft Word 2002. There is no prerequisite for this course.
Upon completion of the course the student will be able to:
Create documents using a variety of word processing features
Open, close, print and save documents
Use the standard and formatting toolbars
Change margins and spacing
Cut or copy and paste text to copy or move text
Spell check text
Access clip art and Word Art
Method of Instruction: This class is taught by illustration from the instructor, working together on examples, and in class assignments.
Grading: This course is a Pass/Withdraw class. To receive a Pass the student must participate in at least four of the class assignments.
Attendance is very important in a class like this with only 6 sessions.
