Awards Criteria

Eligibility:

Any community college administrators, excluding those whose positions are directly learning resources related.

Criteria:

A nominee for the award should evidence significant support for the learning resources program which has resulted in:

Improved funding
Extended service to patrons
Increased uses of technology
Enhanced physical facilities
Cooperative efforts with other agencies and/or
Development of innovative programming

In assessing the individual's contribution, the judges will pay particular attention to the role of the nominee in the success of the project.

Judging and Award:

A five hundred dollar ($500) scholarship will be given to the awardee's institution in his/her name, and the individual will be honored by the NCLR at the AACC Annual Convention.

Nomination Process:

Anyone submitting a nomination for the Administrative Leadership Award must be a member of the National Council for Learning Resources.

The nomination packet will consist of:

An information page listing nominee's name, position, school, school address, school telephone number, and the nominator's name, position, school, school, address, and telephone number.
A written narrative not to exceed three double-spaced pages describing the nominee's advocacy role in the development of the learning resources program.
Two letters of support from individuals familiar with the nominee's efforts which should be included with the nomination.
