Welcome to the Instructional Technology Committee page.

Per GBC Faculty Senate Bylaws, the Instructional Technology Committee:

• Reviews and recommends policies to Faculty Senate that concern instructional technology and/or distance education.

• Consults with the Distance Education and Computer Services departments regarding any proposed changes in learning management systems.

• Consults with the Distance Education department regarding issuance of any satisfaction surveys for the learning platform and the Distance Education department's performance in assisting faculty with online issues.

• Consults with and make suggestions to the Distance Education department regarding professional training subjects for teaching practices and technology.

• Reviews and make recommendations on the addition of electronic means of delivery to the teaching process from the point of view of instruction. The areas to be considered by the committee include the use of online, audio, video, Interactive Video (IAV), lecture capture, and other emergent technologies used in an extended classroom environment.
