Certificate of Achievement in Human Services Program

Interested in helping people, but not sure in which career? Register for the entry level course, HMS 101, Introduction to Human Services, and discover your area of interest!

You may begin taking human services courses without prerequisites or meeting program entry requirements. A program application is not required until you are ready to start each of the practicum courses. (The practicum application is located on this page).

The core content courses in the Certificate of Achievement in Human Services Program are the same as those required for the AAS Degree in Human Services, so you can begin working on your degree while working on your certificate at the same time! Also, you may want to "bridge" into the social work program, or continue on with your education, working toward an advanced degree in substance abuse counseling, health sciences and/or other mental health care fields while earning a Certificate of Achievement in Human Services. See a school or program adviser before registering for this or any course of study.
