Great Basin College delivers customized workforce training tailored to business and industry needs. 
Expert instructors provide flexible, results-driven programs at the workplace or on campus to strengthen employee skills and performance.  
 

Industrial Technology and Workforce Development 

The School of Industrial Technology and Workforce Development provides various types of training for industry. These trainings include American Welding Society (AWS) certifications and specialized testing, Mine Safety Training and MSHA through the GBC-NORCAT MST, multiple courses related to fixed maintenance/millwright, and courses in Electrical and Instrumentation topics. We also provide testing to employees for Recognized Prior Learning to identify skills gaps in current workforces that can then become custom training offered on either the job site or one of our campus locations to upskill your employees.

Continuing Education 

Continuing Education provides customized workforce training and professional development for business and industry. Training topics include Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Webex, and Visual Basic), computing basics, technical and business writing, effective communication, team building, customer service, personal finance, and more.
 

Programs are available in half-day, full-day, or multi-day formats and can be delivered on-site or at GBC. Continuing Education also offers industry-recognized certification programs for high-demand careers, including the Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A Program and CDL B courses and related endorsements.
