Getting Started with Online WebCampus Courses

  1. Computer requirements: For best performance, use a Windows or Macintosh computer five years old or newer with an operating system (recent Windows or MacOS) that can run the most recent compatible web browsers. Keep your computer up to date with the latest recommended security updates, and use a reliable internet connection.
  2. Browser requirements: Use a current release of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari.
  3. If you have not already done so, complete and submit an application for admission. You will then receive an email with your 10-digit GBC ID and a temporary password.
  4. Use your 10-digit ID and temporary password to log into the MyGBC Self-Service Center, to enroll in and pay for classes.
  5. After receiving confirmation of your admission to GBC you will receive notification of your MyApps login information for system access. (You will use MyApps from then on to log in, instead of the temporary password.)
  6. Use MyApps to log into WebCampus and begin your course.
  7. Complete the online WebCampus Orientation self-enrollment course for new students.

ABOUT SMARTPHONES AND OTHER MOBILE DEVICES: In general, you should plan to complete your coursework on a desktop or laptop computer. You can use smartphones and tablets to access some parts of WebCampus, but many features do not work well, or not at all, on mobile devices. We do not advise using Chromebooks to complete WebCampus coursework, as Chromebooks are not compatible with all WebCampus features.

IMPORTANT: Updating Your Profile and Notifications

After logging into WebCampus, update the following settings:

Ways to Contact: Click "Account" in the upper left hand corner of your screen. You can add a personal email address and other contact methods by clicking the + symbol from the upper right hand corner of the screen (under "Ways to Contact").

Notifications: Choose your Notification settings from the upper left corner of your screen (look for "Account"). Select Notifications to choose how you want to be notified of due dates, class changes, grades and other types of notifications. You can change any of the settings at any time during the course.
