STUDENTS DEVELOP CREATIVE SOLUTIONS POSTERS!

Great Basin College students are creative. Presented with problems these students developed solutions and illustrated them with unique posters!

The Nevada NASA Space Grant is offered by the Nevada Community College Consortium (NCCC). The NCCC was developed by the Nevada NASA Space COP Logo graphicGrant Consortium (NVSGC) to provide scholarships which are competitively awarded to support and reward Nevada students for their achievements in academic endeavors related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics. NVSGC support can assist NSHE undergraduate students in pursuing their educational goals that will lead to employment opportunities in industries that rely on a STEM-trained workforce that are relevant to both NASA and Nevada’s workforce needs. Scholars in the NCCC will become a part of a statewide Community of Practice (CoP) supporting studies in STEM fields.

The Epscor/NASA office of Nevada is anticipating that they will have undergraduate and graduate scholarship and fellowship opportunities for the upcoming fall semester in the amounts of $3,000 and $13,000 for STEM students. They would love for you to apply and to spread the word through our student organization. If you would like to hear more about these opportunities, they will be announcing more information in the next couple of months.

Please sign up for their e-mail list at http://epscorspo.nevada.edu/ (Click on Subscribe, fill out your information and check the box that says 'funding and opportunities'). If you do not subscribe, they are unfortunately unable to subscribe you themselves due to some changes in their communications policies. By subscribing, you will also hear about other funding opportunities, such as those from the National Science Foundation.
