VRC History

In 2015, Former Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval (UNR President) started the “Year of the Veteran” initiative. This program authorized the creation of Veteran Resource Centers (VRC) across all Nevada System of Higher Education Institutions. Thus, the VRC at Great Basin College began. This department has been dedicated to the success of our students ever since and has played a vital role throughout the community.
