KTVN-TV Looking for a Full-Time Production Assistant

KTVN-TV has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Production Assistant. Job duties include studio camera operation, teleprompter, video machine operation, character generator operation, audio board operation, and review and input commercials for on-air playback. A high school education or equivalent and six months experience working with studio cameras and television equipment is required. This person must be able to work on a tight time schedule with little supervision. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.

Sacramento County Looking for Staff

Under direction, Survey Party Chiefs perform advanced journey level work and/or act as leadworkers for a field survey crew performing paraprofessional land and engineering surveys. Responsibilities include the location of boundaries, rights of way and easements, establishment of horizontal and vertical control, topographic mapping and construction surveying for the purposes of constructing public works projects. The projects include but are not limited to highways and bridges, storm water drainage facilities, water conveyance systems, sanitary sewer conveyance and treatment facilities and various other public works structures and projects.
Minimum Qualifications:

Either: 1. Two years of full-time experience in Sacramento County Service in the class of Survey Technician (Level II).

Or: 2. Three years of paraprofessional surveying experience involving public works facilities or structures.

Note: Completion of 36 semester units or 45 quarter units of coursework in surveying, engineering or related field at an accredited college or university may substitute for up to one year of the required experience.

Interns will receive significant training in all aspects of field work, organizing, voter outreach, issues research, and membership communications.


The Environmental Voter Project (EVP) is looking for highly-motivated undergraduates to join our selective Summer Internship Program. Interns will work closely with the entire EVP staff to learn about subjects such as field campaigning, nonprofit communications, and data analytics. Interns will be expected to devote time to field outreach, senior staff support, event planning, voting and elections research, data management and entry, and volunteer management. In addition to gaining valuable nonprofit advocacy skills, interns will participate in weekly seminars, join regular trainings, and become talented organizers and political operatives by learning the nuts and bolts of nonprofit work and electoral campaigning from an exciting and innovative organization. We are seeking responsible, motivated candidates who can commit to 10 hours per week for this program.

While the Environmental Voter Project is based out of Boston, MA, this internship is being offered as a fully virtual experience and applicants from across the country are encouraged to apply.

Hours and Internship Duration:

  • Start Date: Tuesday, June 1
  • Hours: 10 hours per week, 12-5pm over two days
  • Days: (a) all interns are expected to work on Tuesdays, and (b) interns can choose between Monday or Wednesday for their second day
  • Stipends and Academic Credit.

We regularly work with academic institutions on providing academic credit for EVP internships. This is an unpaid internship, but EVP provides each intern with a $250/month stipend.
