GBC practices open admission policies in order to make GBC courses accessible to a wide population. Although courses often have prerequisites, and some courses and programs may be limited in enrollment either by their nature or because of limited facilities, there is a place for virtually every student at GBC — regardless of academic background. In addition to the numerous transferrable classes, degrees, and certificates, GBC provides a wide range of developmental (refresher) courses designed to prepare students for admission to college curricula.
The College extends the principle of equal opportunity to mean that access to facilities and services shall be available to all, regardless of race, age, religion, color, sex, sexual orientation, disability or national origin. If you have evidence of practices not consistent with this policy, please make them known to the Affirmative Action Officer at 775.753.2282.
You may apply for admission online or print and submit a paper application* to your branch
campus or the Admissions office in Berg Hall, GBC Elko Campus. You are encouraged to make use of GBC's advisement services after applying so that you can make the most of your college studies. International students should review special requirements before applying.
