GED Test Preparation

All GBC Adult Learning Centers offer help in preparing for the GED test through group and individualized tutoring, individualized learning materials, tapes, videos, and computer-aided instruction. All tutoring and pre-testing is free.

Any person age 17 or older who has not graduated from high school and who is not enrolled in a high school may begin GED preparation.

Taking the GED Test

The GED test is given by Great Basin College several times each month. To take the test in Elko, go to the Admissions and Records office in Berg Hall (see map), present a photo identification, pre-register for the test, and prepay the $50.00 test fee.
