An email account @gbcnv.edu is set up automatically for every GBC student. This helps the college to communicate with you and is essential for students receiving financial aid.
Activating Your GBC Email Account
To use your GBC email account, you simply need to activate it.
You will need to enter your social security number (if you provided
that information on your application for admission) or your GBC student ID
number and your birthdate.
Once your account is activated, you will be shown your login or username and your
email address. You will also be able to reset your password.
Resetting Your Password
If you did not reset your password when activating your account, you can do so any
time by logging into SWAMI with your
existing user name and password. After logging in, click the Change
Password link
on the left menu.
Accessing Your GBC Email
Once you've activated your account, you can access email at Fallon Webmail. ("Fallon" is the name of the computer hosting the mail.)
Forwarding Your GBC Email to Another Account
To forward your GBC email to another address (for example, a hotmail or Yahoo address),
log into SWAMI, and then select "Change
Mail Settings" from the menu at left. Click
the button next to "Set Forwarding Address" and fill in the address where you
would like your mail forwarded. Finally, submit the form.
Forgot Your Password?
If you forget your password, you'll need to bring a picture ID to the GBC Elko computer lab or the campus nearest you to have your password reset. |
