Great Basin College: Getting Started with Internet/Livenet Classes

If you register five days or more before an Internet/LiveNet class begins, the Technology Help Desk will mail you a letter with your username and password for logging onto WebCampus. (A link to WebCampus can be found at the bottom of the Quick Links menu on any GBC page.)

The box at right shows the steps involved in taking an Internet-based course (including LiveNet). Once you've done it the first time, many steps are eliminated when you take your second course. If you run into problems, the Technical Helpdesk is there for you.

Step-by-Step, from the Beginning

If you have not already done so, fill out and submit an application for admission.
Browse the Schedule for Internet or LiveNet courses beginning in the future.
Register and pay fees through WebReg.
Make sure you have the necessary equipment.
If you enroll too late to receive your WebCampus username by mail, phone the helpdesk to learn what it is.

NOTE: The username is the first part of your assigned GBC email address (the part before the @ sign). Your password is the year, month, and day of your birth, formatted YYMMDD (e.g. June 1, 1962 = 620601).
Enter the WebCampus site and check your browser (help with browser checking and troubleshooting).
Look over the WebCampus help and video tutorials.
Log into WebCampus and begin your course!
